FAQ

Can I bring my kids?

Yes, however please make sure they can keep up with the rest of the group. The pace is slightly brisk. Strollers will be cumbersome as we navigate many stairs, escalators and other areas where you will be quite inconvenienced, so it is recommended that kids be able to walk on their own and keep up with adults. Please bear this information in mind before deciding if you want to bring your kids.

Can I bring my dog?

Unfortunately it won’t be possible to do so on this tour because we visit places where they’re not allowed.

What if it rains / snows?

This whole tour is conceived of to showcase how the city doesn’t shut down when the weather hits us. So… bad weather? Bring it on! This is Montréal, after all. We’re ready for it! Weather can be unpredictable and it does rain and snow quite often. That being said, please come prepared with proper footwear, clothing and/or an umbrella because we do go outside a few times on this tour. Are there bathrooms along the way?

Yes there are a few. And we make a planned stop for a short break.

How much walking is there? What if I have reduced mobility?

We will walk approximately 3.5 km over the course of the entire tour and there are often places to sit along the way. If you prefer to calculate distance in miles, we’ll save you the energy of googling it: It’s 2.1748 miles. We spend about 75% of the tour indoors however we do step outside a few times so please keep in mind that the sidewalks can be icy or slushy in the winter, depending on the weather. The walking pace is fairly brisk, so if you think you might need extra time walking, you might want to consider booking a private tour. If you have reduced mobility or use a wheelchair, this tour is unfortunately not fully accessible. Many of the places visited on this tour were built before any rules about universal accessibility.
